How to Apply?
- Interested applicants shall apply online for the Internship program.
- Applicants must indicate their area of interest.
- A candidate can apply for an internship only once during a financial year.
- The applicants who do not fulfill the eligibility conditions, their applications shall be rejected by the Competent Authority.
- The selected applicant has to produce a letter of recommendation from the college/institution at the time of joining, failing which his/her candidature shall be canceled. [The format for the LoR has been provided in Annexure-II of the Internship Guidelines]
- Fluency in English or Hindi is desirable for the internship.
Eligibility
Bonafide students pursuing/passed out Graduate/Post Graduate Degree or Research Scholars enrolled in recognized University/Institution within India from any background but preferably Social Science background i.e. Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Anthropology, Law, etc., of any recognized University/ Institution within India fulfilling the following conditions:
- Students must be pursuing/passed out Graduate/Post Graduate Degree or Research Scholars.
- They must have secured 50% or more cumulative marks in all the years/semesters of their graduation/post-graduation till the date of application.
Duration & Engagement
- Duration: Minimum 4 weeks and maximum 3 months
- Engagement: Intern shall be present during the office hours i.e. 9:30 AM to 6 PM, on all working days. For experience, If the Director desires, the intern may travel for field experience.
Application Deadline
Applications received till the 25th of each month shall be allowed for subsequent month/s internships.

Paid Internship Opportunity at the Department of Economic Affairs (DEA) [For PG Students; Stipend Rs 10-20K]: Apply by June 16
How to Apply?
Students are expected to apply against specific research study opportunities Divisions.
The applicant should register on the MoF-DEA intern application link of the Ministry of Finance and indicate in their application
- their area of interest,
- duration of availability with dates/ months, and
- 3 topics of their interest in the order of their preference, on which they would like to work during their internship.

Note: The Department places on its website a specific invitation for interns to express their interest in the same. The candidates whose research proposals and competencies match significantly with DEA requirements will be given preference.
Eligibility
Outstanding Candidates pursuing Post Graduation or Ph.D. in Economics/Law/Finance Management from Universities/Institutions within the top 25 ranks as per NIRF, by Ministry of HRD or International Institutes of repute are eligible to apply for the internship.
Please Note: This program is not meant for graduate students.
This program is meant for Ph.D. or post-graduate students working on specific issues relating to macro-economic, management, capital markets, infrastructure policy, climate finance, financial and investment laws.
Remuneration
- PG Interns: Rs. 10,000 per month per intern

Eligibility

Stipend
The intern will be paid stipend Rs. 7000 per month for the period of internship on certification from the officer the intern is attached to.

Internship Opportunity at NITI Aayog (National Institution for Transforming India): Apply by June 10
How to Apply?
- The interested applicants may apply online only on the website of NITI Aayog by the 10th of June, 2022.
- The application can only be made six months in advance but not later than 2 months before the month in which the internship is desired.
- Applicants must also clearly indicate the area of interest.
- Please Note: A candidate can apply for an internship only once during a financial year.
- The selected applicant has to produce original mark sheets and NOC from the college/institution at the time of joining, failing which his/her candidature shall be canceled. (Format given in Annexure ‘C’ of the official notification).
Eligibility
Bonafide students of any recognized University/ Institution within India or abroad, fulfilling the following conditions are eligible to apply for the internship:
- UG students, having completed/appeared in the term-end exams of the 2nd year/4th semester of the bachelor degree course, secured not less than 85% or equivalent marks in the 12th class.
- Graduate students having completed/appeared in the term-end exams of first-year/2nd semester of their post-graduate program or persuing research/Ph.D. and secured not less than 70% or equivalent marks in Graduation.
- The students who have appeared in the final exam or just completed Graduation/PG and waiting for admission for higher studies may also be considered for internship provided that they have secured 70% or more cumulative marks in all the years/semesters of their graduation/ post-graduation till the date of application.
- The period between the month of declaration of result of the final exam and the desired month of the internship should not exceed 6 (Six) months e.g. if the result is declared in the month of June then he/she can apply for the internship beginning till the month of December.
Duration of Internship
At least 6 (Six) weeks but not exceeding 6 (Six) months.
Interns not completing the requisite period will not be issued any certificate.
