The DPIIT IPR Chair of Chanakya National Law University, Patna, invites applications for the following temporary positions from Indian Citizens for the post of Research Assistant.
Qualifications Required
- Education: B.A.LL.B. /BBA.LL.B. /LL.B. degree, having not less than 60% marks from Indian University, or equivalent degree from accredited Foreign University.
- Proficiency in English language and Computer application-data entry.
- Understanding in Intellectual Property Rights Laws and creative writing abilities.
- Ability to organize workshops/ seminars/ events/ discussions and extension activities/field work, etc.
- Preference would be given to candidates having work experience with Research projects/Centres/ IPR Chair.
- At least one research paper published in IPR, in a peer reviewed journal.
Nature of Work
- Undertaking research in Socio-economic-legal, technological and entrepreneurial aspects on emerging IPR issues under the guidance of the Chair.
- Helping the Chair in setting up of a repository for IPR related information and case studies at the Universities both in physical and electronic form.
- Helping the Chair in preparation of resources / instruction materials for various levels of IPR courses in education services for direct teaching as well as teaching through distance education mode / online courses
- Helping the Chair in facilitating of filing of IPR applications
- Helping the Chair in data collection and field work
- Helping the Chair in organising workshop/training or any other activities of the chair.

Application Procedure
The Candidate shall submit an application to the DPIIT IPR CHAIR PROFESSOR with the latest CV and complete personal information, on or before 30th November 2023 (05:30 PM), along with all relevant certificates (Xerox copy), Passport Size Photograph mentioning the subject as: “Application for the post of Research Assistant in DPIIT IPR-Chair”, and send to iprchair@cnlu.ac.in.
Selection Procedure
The qualification prescribed does not entitle the candidate for being called for test, interview and selection. The Applications shall be scrutinized and called for an interview via email. No interim queries regarding test / interview / selection will be entertained.
Important Note
- The Post of Research Assistant is purely contractual under DPIIT IPR CHAIR. The selected candidate shall be appointed in the first phase from the day of appointment up to 31st March 2024, on the remuneration of Rs. 30,000/- (Rupees Thirty thousand) per month only, as per DPIIT, without any allowances.
- It can be extended to the next financial year on satisfactory performance. The Research Assistant shall be the employee of IPR CHAIR.
