
AMU Minority Status Hearing: Day 6

The SC heard the arguments on the issue of the minority status of the Aligarh Muslim University.
The matter is being heard by the 7-judge constitution bench comprised of Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud, Justice Sanjiv Khanna, Justice Surya Kant, Justice JB Pardiwala, Justice Dipankar Datta, Justice Manoj Misra and Justice Satish Chandra Sharma.
On day 6, Senior Advocate NK Kaul and the Senior Advocate Dwivedi had argued.
There were discussions regarding the AMU Act and the minority status recognition of the AMU by the parliament through the Act as well as the Stare decisis which was argued by Senior Advocate Dwivedi.
